Two pieces I did for this project… I feel kinda proud of this new work I have produced. The change of colour from yellow to green makes a slight difference to the design.. i like the colour change and I think the green makes the design look stronger. The use of colour i wanted to work with was very natural tranquil colours..the reason for this being is to create the visuals of “Natural sound”
I wanted to create the front cover with just one simple shape… The inspiration I feel this has come from is a “Tribal theme”.. I feel this shape created from a “Century Gothic” front creates a simplistic yet bold design. i really enjoyed designing this cover and playing around with colour. I wanted to go for a rusty, bold and simple colour theme.
A front cover I designed. 3 different colours to show a variation of the design resenting different colours :)
Another idea based on Fluid typograhy… That I did. I played around with colour and I think these two work for this design.
One of my final double page spreads. The two different colours I have done show a total transition, From a soft, natural and tranquil theme to a neon, electric and funky kinda theme. I do believe the idea of were the placement of design and type has been set really makes this DPS design a great concept.. I really feel more confidant in designing and a much more of a understanding how to use text.

If you cant see me
If you cant hear me
it has become very difficult to me to contribute to or influence my culture”

By Alexander Rodchenko
As the funeral bells of color painting toll, the last “ism” [of Painting] goes to its eternal rest, the last love and hope collapse, and i leave the house of dead truths. The moving force is invention (analysis), not synthesis. Painting is the body, creativity the spirit. My job is to create something new out of painting, so I examine what I do practically. Literature and philosophy are for the experts in those fields, but I am making new discoveries in painting. Christopher Columbus was neither a writer not a philosopher; he merely discovered new lands.
